Luc Tuymans' show at David Zwirner is truly epic in scope and scale. It's easily one of the best shows of the year – not too surprising for this veteran artist. I am always impressed with Tuymans, but this show is simply stunning! This time around Tuymans turns his gaze at the Disney Corporation, analyzing the failure and success in Disney's attempt to create a utopic vision of America's future. I am happy to learn that the Wexler Center for the Arts and the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art will mount the first US retrospective for Tuymans' work.
